Its Good to Recall Sometimes

Assalamualaikum..

To begin with, last week I had one rough day.

My mood swing and I was not so 'nice' the entire day and I regretted it. Well actually, I was ashamed of myself for letting lust (nafsu) overcame my faith.

I am not quite sure what had gotten into me but it seemed like anger and all negatives vibe had possessed me. And everything seemed provocative. Well actually they didn't. It was just me. Solely me.

When I was driving back from office while mumbling over reckless drivers that day.. I suddenly stopped and scolded myself. 

It was as if I got a slap on my face or malaikat melintas if you believe so but yeah. I suddenly snapped out of it.

And once reached home, I took ablution (wudhu') and began to place my forehead where it supposed to be during 'this' kind of time. Down on sajadah (prayer mat).

And I started to recall.. 

I have a former schoolmate who was diagnosed for cancer stage 2 at her age of 25 and still going through chemo till this day. Her studies was stopped then and currently she is resuming it. Strongest girl I ever know.

I had a college senior who passed away at her age of 21 after only 3 days emitted to hospital due to less red blood cells. Death come without any notice. 

I had a former coursemate who passed away at her age of 24 due to car crashed. She died at the incident when it was about 2 months before her wedding day. Until today I still stalked on her fiance and the last time I checked, he still didn't move on.

I have a former schoolmate who became a father on last 1st january and after only 30 days his daughter was taken back by Allah and sent to jannah. His wife is still under confinement and only Allah knows how they are doing 'inside'.

I can recall all those sad stories that happened to people around me but I can't. Not that moment. I was loaded with tears. Tears of disappointment with myself. Tears of regret.

So while in sujud (prostration) position, I cried and cried. And pleaded to Allah. I am sorry ya Allah for being such an ungrateful servant.

I have all the things in the world, if were to compare to those people I mentioned earlier, but I am still ungrateful. I am ashamed ya Allah. Forgive me. Please.

Sign of Qiyamah: At-Tiin

Assalamualaikum w.b.t dear believers!! 

Salam saiyidul ayyam.. Hope everyone is doing great on this barakah day. Thank you Allah for yet another day of this beating heart and Iman. Alhamdulillah.

So here I would like to share some knowledge I gained after watching Cinta Ilmu presented by Ustaz Badli Shah not so long ago n TV Al-Hijrah.

Well first of all, Cinta Ilmu is such a great programme as the knowledge they share (ustaz and ustazah who are really knowledgeable and easy to be followed) are all about us. You know, all the things we need to know as a Muslim but sometimes we do not have a chance to learn it.

Ustaz Badli Shah talked about the 10 Signs of Qiyamah/Resurrection and according to him it is indeed what is happening to Syria, Palestine and Egypt is one of the signs.

It is as stated in At-Tiin [95:1-3] (Source: Tafsir Al Azhar)

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

By the fig and the olive (1)

And [by] Mount Sinai (2)

And [by] this secure city [Makkah] (3)

The common fig (tiin) is a fruit that can be widely found in Syria. And since 2011 until present, Syria is in chaotic situation as the armed conflict continues and only Allah knows when will it stop. 

Meanwhile the olive is widely found in Palestine. And we are all aware that the conflict has been going on since the early 1900's and becoming worst and worst up to date. May Allah protect Palestine and people there.

For the second verse of this Surah where it mentioned the Mount Sinai, well this mountain is actually situated in Egypt and again, Egypt also have its own conflict. 

All these are the signs from Allah. "The Judgement Day is nearby...yes these wars and conflicts in those countries are one of the signs." and when I heard Ustaz Badli Shah saying this, GOOSE BUMPS!! 

Lastly according to ustaz, something will also happened to Makkah and when that happened, Makkah will no longer be the secure city.. and when that happens, qiyamah will happen any time SOON. Ya Allah, again goose bumps!

Thus, in this such barakah day let's remind ourselves again that this dunya is temporary and everything that we owns aren't ours but Allah's solely. May we be a devoted Muslim each and every single day that passes by.

Salam dear believers! Ramadhan Kareem! Salam Saiyidul Ayyam!

Day 6 in the holy month of Ramadhan and it is Friday. Thus making today such a barakah and blessed day. 

And therefore, Alhamdulillah..all the praise is to Allah the most generous and noble for giving us to experience such a beautiful day.

On this barakah day let's recite Al-Kahfi and pray for our brothers and sisters in Palestine whose facing a great jihad currently. May Allah help Muslims all around the world and may one fine day Palestine will be free InshaAllah.

Ramadhan Mubarak #Day3

Salam Ramadhan!

Its the 3rd day of Ramadhan and Alhamdulillah, all praise is to Allah the almighty. The One who give us the chance of 'today'. 

I woke up this morning for sahur feeling so sleepy but still managed to cook sambal telur as requested by my husband. Luckily it is just sambal telur phewhh! I tried so hard not to sleep again after subuh, but I did not make it haha.

Anyway, I aim for tomorrow not to fall asleep and instead, fill it in with spiritual productivity habits. And what are they?

Ramadhan Mubarak! #Day2

Salam Ramadhan! Ramadhan Kareem! Ramadhan Mubarak! :D

Today is the second day we are in the holy month of Ramadhan..Alhamdulillah. Thank you Allah for giving us to live another day in this month and may Allah give us the chance to go through until the end of Ramadhan. 

Last Ramadhan may not be 'religious' enough for us but this year we have an opportunity to change that so let's grab this chance as it may be our final one. May this Ramadhan be the 'stepping point' for us in the process of being a better Muslim.

اللهُمَّ سَلِّمنِي لِرَمَضَانَ وَسَلِّم رَمَضَانَ لِي وَسَلِّمهُ لِي مُتَقَبَّلاً

“Oh Allah! Safeguard me for the Month of Ramadhan (by making me see the Month of Ramadhan healthy and fit so that I can take maximum benefit from it),

and safeguard the Month of Ramadhan for me (by making the conditions in it such that I can take maximum benefit from it) and accept it from me.”

Barakah Friday

Its Friday yeay! Salam saiyidul ayyam everyone! May all of us have a barakah day and don't forget to recite Al-Kahfi on this blessing day. Semoga kita semua terpelihara dari fitnah dajjal di akhir zaman ini dan dijauhi dari api neraka. Aminnn...

Kursus Kahwin. B2B Seremban #2

On the previous entry we are done with the checklist and so lets proceed with no.1 thing which is attending kursus kahwin. I did (well maybe not exactly me who did it...more likely it is my husband who did lalalala) the searching for few places to attend the kursus kahwin. First criteria should be, [1] near to reach. I was actually living somewhere near PJ during that time so good thing about it is that KL have many of Musollah/masjid helding the kursus kahwin. However, if you are in some other places other than KL then just google ehee.

So second criteria is [2] price. For your information, the standard price would be RM 80 per person as it includes foods and certificates. Well if you have tight budget, then you can get a lower price at RM 60 if the kursus kahwin is held in university. But if you are an outsider, how are you suppose to know when the kursus kahwin will be held in university, right? Again...google the exact university which you would like to attend the kursus. And if you prefer to attend it outside but at slightly lower price, attend it during Ramadhan. No food means cheaper fees RM 70 jimat lah jadinya.

So my hubby and I attended Kursus Perkahwinan Taman Tun Dr Ismail which was held in Masjid At-Taqwa TTDI. There is actually a seminar room dedicated for the kursus and it is totally comfortable. Plus the foods were nice and since it is in masjid so when its time to pray, easy! The organizer is friendly and am really happy with their service as the certificate can be obtained as soon as 1 week time! And believe me, there are some places who give out the certificate lama gila until you have to chase them for the cert so remember you need a place that [3] do not hold on to your cert. One more important criteria would be [4] penceramah tak membosankan! And yes, semua penceramah tidak membosankan malah menghiburkan sambil berinformatif.
