Sign of Qiyamah: At-Tiin

Assalamualaikum w.b.t dear believers!!

Salam saiyidul ayyam.. Hope everyone is doing great on this barakah day. Thank you Allah for yet another day of this beating heart and Iman. Alhamdulillah.

So here I would like to share some knowledge I gained after watching Cinta Ilmu presented by Ustaz Badli Shah not so long ago n TV Al-Hijrah.

Well first of all, Cinta Ilmu is such a great programme as the knowledge they share (ustaz and ustazah who are really knowledgeable and easy to be followed) are all about us. You know, all the things we need to know as a Muslim but sometimes we do not have a chance to learn it.

Ustaz Badli Shah talked about the 10 Signs of Qiyamah/Resurrection and according to him it is indeed what is happening to SyriaPalestine and Egypt is one of the signs.

It is as stated in At-Tiin [95:1-3] (Source: Tafsir Al Azhar)

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

By the fig and the olive (1)

And [by] Mount Sinai (2)

And [by] this secure city [Makkah] (3)

The common fig (tiin) is a fruit that can be widely found in Syria. And since 2011 until present, Syria is in chaotic situation as the armed conflict continues and only Allah knows when will it stop.

Meanwhile the olive is widely found in Palestine. And we are all aware that the conflict has been going on since the early 1900's and becoming worst and worst up to date. May Allah protect Palestine and people there.

For the second verse of this Surah where it mentioned the Mount Sinai, well this mountain is actually situated in Egypt and again, Egypt also have its own conflict.

All these are the signs from Allah. "The Judgement Day is nearby...yes these wars and conflicts in those countries are one of the signs." and when I heard Ustaz Badli Shah saying this, GOOSE BUMPS!!

Lastly according to ustaz, something will also happened to Makkah and when that happened, Makkah will no longer be the secure city.. and when that happens, qiyamah will happen any time SOON. Ya Allah, again goose bumps!

Thus, in this such barakah day let's remind ourselves again that this dunya is temporary and everything that we owns aren't ours but Allah's solely. May we be a devoted Muslim each and every single day that passes by.

Till then, Assalamualaikum.

Xi'an, China Day 5 (Part 2 - KangFu Road)

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh!
All praise is to Allah s.w.t and may peace be upon our dearest prophet Muhammad s.a.w and his companions.

Today is the day. Finally! Today I shall continue with my tour, shopping experience I mean, in KangFu Road clothing market, the northwest's largest comprehensive trade and other places I visited on Day 5. By the way, in previous post I already shared my tour in the City Wall.

After we came out from City Wall, we went straight to the mall and everybody were so excited! Well actually after 4 days in China, this was the first time we had an opportunity to do shopping. Like real shopping!

It took us only 15 minutes to get to the mall and our bus driver dropped us somewhere near the wholesale mall and we walked for 2 minutes from there. And the best part about walking was I could see lots of new things! Like..

The local favourite breakfast meal; steam corn, pau, taufu, egg, bread etc.

I saw lots of stalls and hawker selling these breads like those nan we have in Malaysia.
And at the back you can see the KFC but I don't think its Halal.

Local selling newspaper by the pedestrian walk. Nothing new about that except that their Xi'an-ese! Well that's new right haha

That was the police officer, nice pose there Mr police officer.

I don't know what this is called but it is something like taxi, a small taxi.

Xinnantian - perhaps that is the name of the taxi company. Definitely gonna ride one of this the next time I come! InshaAllah..

The nearest railway station to this mall is the Kangfulu Zhan station. For more info on Xi'an transportation, visit travechinaguide.com

The wholesale mall, huge!

And McD, but again.. non-Halal.

This was how the mall looks like from inside.

In Malaysia don't have the -1 floor, so I snapped picture lol!

There was this center court for shoppers to eat and smoke

We spent an hour and half in the shopping mall which definitely not enough time for the ladies, if you know what I mean ladies. So after that we went back to the bus and headed to Halal restaurant for lunch.

Well actually, whenever we wanted to buy something Miss Mei (Xi'an guide) will stop us and say, we will go somewhere inexpensive and have more choices. So finally on the final day, here we were! (And for this reason most of us in favor of Mr Leo than Miss Mei.. except for me of course. My feeling was genuinely because of his looks..haha!)

We walked for about 5 to 10 minutes to the bus and passed through some shop lots along the street where the things sold were slightly expensive if compared inside the mall.

The cleaners were everywhere keeping this city clean and beautiful

There were shops selling foods, bags, shoes, clothes..everything!

The streets were packed with public transports, easy for you to get to anywhere you want.
And at the back there, Xi'an Plastic Surgery Hospital.. big. I thought it is popular in Korea only, ohh well.

To get to the bus we needed to go through short this tunnel some sort of underground flyover

We had our lunch in this restaurant

It was big and clean, and most importantly, Halalan Toiyibban inshaAllah!

These were some of the foods we had and all of it were good

Happy faces after lunch haha
After lunch we continued the tour with few more places which I will share later (hopefully as soon as possible).

Till then, Assalamualaikum..

K-Drama: Misaeng 미생 - Intro

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.
Peace be upon Muhammad s.a.w

Based on the webcomic “Misaeng” by Yoon Tae Ho published from 20 Jan 2012 to 14 Oct 2013

In love with the new, not so new actually - Korean drama and so I would like to share about it! Well I'm supposed to finish up on China trip but yeah.. malas.
And according to mama, malas tak ada ubat! Well actually there is.
Write a new topic! And so here it is hihi

Anyway, this K-drama currently aired on 8tv every Thursday and Friday at 10.30 p.m to 12 midnight. It ain't like the typical lovey-dovey K-drama but instead it is the first drama (for me at least) that is really realistic which portrays the hardship in life and that's why I'm hooked on it!

First of all, this so ever great series entitled Misaeng which means an incomplete life.
It is a 2014 South Korean television series consist of 20 episodes and based on the webtoon series of the same title by Yoon Tae-ho.
Currently at episodes 14 at 8tv. And surprisingly according to Wiki, Misaeng was the first K-drama to film on location in Jordan.

This is a story of Jang Geu-Rae whose since he was a child he was so into the board game baduk. But when one day he fails on becoming a professional baduk player, Geu-rae finally needed to enter the real working world unfortunately he is armed with only a high school equivalency exam. Through one of CEO recommendation, he gets hired as an intern at One International, a large trading company. So this is a story of working environment!

In this series there this boss, manager Oh Sang-Shik, a real workaholic man but really nice person. The fellow intern Ahn Young-Yi, young lady with impressive educational credentials and extremely competent at any task and Jang Baek-gi, such an egoist co-worker but handsome! Geu-rae learns to navigate and adapt to corporate culture, with baduk as his guide.

I can really relate to this series which has so much drama in office and among colleagues as well as stress and politics, you need to watch it! Who knows you might get a tips on 'office drama' you are currently in because I did.

Till then, Assalamualaikum!
Can't wait for Thursday & Friday to come!
Happy Chinese New Year and loooong holiday!

Fragile World

I know that I’m not alone
What I’ve seen, has been seen before
But it hurts just like a thorn
A pain I’ve never felt before

My heart says: “Just speak the truth”
But my mind says: “Don’t be a fool”
Need to get something off my mind
Don’t let this silence be misunderstood

I don’t know where my heart will take me
But I know your light will protect me
From this fragile world

I don’t know where I’m destined to be
Rich or poor, famous, loved or lonely
But I know, without your light I’ll never cope
In this fragile world

Did you think you can silence me?
With your lies, games and deceit?
You can continue robbing me
But you won’t rob my dignity

I know that life is just a game
An illusion that will fade
Cheat and lie, have it your way
But you can’t cheat death, no way

I don’t know where my heart will take me
But I know your light will protect me
From this fragile world

I don’t know where I’m destined to be
Rich or poor, famous, loved or lonely
But I know, without your light, I’ll never cope
In this fragile world

Life’s just a game
An illusion that will fade
Cheat and lie have it your way
But you can’t cheat death, no way

I don’t know where my heart will take me
But I know your light will protect me
From this fragile world

I don’t know where I’m destined to be
Rich or poor, famous, loved or lonely
But I know, without your light I’ll never cope
In this fragile world
